Our controls are available on many of the most
powerful and capable machine tools available anywhere in the world. Our
customers and builders are constantly pushing the manufacturing envelope and
asking us to help them by providing new features to enable their productivity to
expand. Release 4 contains many of the new features they have asked for. In
addition, our experienced engineering staff is always searching for ways to
enhance and improve the basic operation of the control system.
Like many software upgrades available today,
Release 4 has specific hardware and machine tool builder requirements. If your
control is currently running Release 3.x, you can probably run Release 4.0 with
no additional hardware upgrades. Many of the newer features also require the
builder to support the feature by writing machine application software to tell
the control how their particular machine works. In summary, your best bet is to
contact your favorite machine tool builder and see if Release 4 is available for
your particular machine. Your OEM is the best source for information about how
they have utilized the power of the Acramatic® 2100 control system.
